When one of our volunteers was recovering from a serious car accident, she wasn’t sure when (or if) she’d be able to return to serving. The weeks were long, discouraging, and heavy.

Around that same time, staff and volunteers began circulating a card filled with handwritten notes of encouragement. It took a while to make its way around before it was actually mailed.

What none of us knew was that the card would arrive on one of her lowest days.

God knew the timing.

That simple card became a tangible reminder that she was seen, valued, and not forgotten — and that her place in this ministry wasn’t erased by a season of hardship.
